We will continue working on our journals tomorrow and Friday.
Here is the Youtube clip that we watched together in class about the shoe shiner who loves his job in New York. Show it to someone in your family and see what sort of response they have. Do they have a personal reaction to it? (text to self) Do they think that it is an effective clip? (text to text) Do they think that it says something about the world? (text to world)
We will continue working on our journals tomorrow and Friday.

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.” ― Dr. Seuss, I Can Read With My Eyes Shut! This Little Free Library has been in front of my house in Riverdale for the past year. I love to watch kids, seniors, cyclists and curious walkers walk by, check out the collection and take a book. I LOVE to read and I LOVE sharing my love of reading with other people. I have been a librarian to over twenty years and a teacher librarian for seven of those years. I am very excited to be part of Book Club 9. I anticipate that we will have some very interesting adventures together. You can use this homework page to stay up-to-date with class activities in case you are away. Almost all class work will be done in class. The only homework that I require is READING, READING, and READING some more. |
